About Doctor TingTing

Dr. Melissa Santilli is a Johns Hopkins University graduate with a lifelong passion for children’s education and long-term success. A devoted mother of four, she has intentionally shaped her career around both professional excellence and family life.

Raised in a small Indiana town with a humble background, Dr. Santilli distinguished herself early through academic excellence. Her Math Olympiad achievements, exceptional SAT score, high GPA, and AP exam scores of 5 in Calculus, Chemistry, and Physics earned her a prestigious scholarship that fully funded her tuition at Johns Hopkins University.

During her time at Johns Hopkins, she served on the biochemistry research committee and the newspaper's science board, and she published research on endocytosis, studying how cells respond to pharmaceutical agents. Her work earned competitive research scholarships from both Pfizer and Johnson & Johnson. Her academic journey also included completing Harvard Summer School and participating in a Yale research program.  During the academic year, she worked as a tutor in Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry, having earned perfect scores on the final examinations in both subjects.  Through these experiences, she gained valuable exposure to the academic culture, expectations, and intellectual environments of top-tier institutions. Interacting with high-achieving peers and mentors provided her with meaningful insight into the qualities, work ethic, and character traits commonly cultivated at universities such as Harvard, Yale, Stanford, and Oxford. Many of her colleagues and friends from these academic circles graduated from these institutions, which further deepened her understanding of the mindset and standards associated with elite higher education.  She graduated with a strong GPA and a high MCAT score, gaining acceptance to NYU Medical School, Boston University Medical School, and Indiana University School of Medicine.

She began her medical training at NYU Medical School but later made a values-driven decision to transition to Indiana University School of Dentistry to pursue a professional path that better aligned with her commitment to marriage, family life, and being present for her future children.

While attending dental school, Dr. Santilli taught for four years as a Kaplan Test Prep instructor, helping college students prepare for the DAT and other national graduate entrance examinations. Kaplan instructors qualify by scoring in the 90th percentile or higher on graduate admissions exams. Through this experience, she gained deep insight into the mindset required to excel on high-stakes exams such as the DAT, MCAT, and GMAT. Working alongside fellow instructors who also scored in the top percentiles, she observed that they shared a disciplined and strategic approach to academic mastery.

In 2023, a cancer scare profoundly shifted her perspective. The experience strengthened her resolve to invest in the next generation, not only her own children, but young people everywhere. Having successfully navigated the competitive pathways into both medical and dental school, she recognized that the mindset principles behind her achievements could be taught, modeled, and replicated.

This realization led her to launch her YouTube channel, where she teaches the long-term mindset required to achieve ambitious goals. Gaining admission to medical or dental school is a highly competitive road. To help future generations of leaders accomplish their dream careers, she teaches in an engaging and accessible way, introducing young children to strong mindset principles early in life. While she continues to practice dentistry, restoring oral health from preventive care to comprehensive smile rehabilitations, her deeper mission is to leave a legacy of resilience, strategic thinking, and character development for future generations.

Dr. Santilli is publishing a book in 2026 dedicated to helping both children and adults develop courage, confidence, clarity, and character, the foundational pillars of a values-based and purpose driven future. She is also developing an online curriculum designed to help students excel on mindset and strategies, master goal-setting strategies, and gain admission to the colleges of their dreams.

Above all, she is passionate about teaching young minds to believe in themselves, trust their potential, and persevere, even when life feels difficult or uncertain.
